Pedal Box Bush Kit
Brake and/or clutch
pedal box bush kit that is suitable for the Triumph Spitfire MkI,
II, III, IV & 1500
; Triumph GT6 MkI, II & III, Triumph Herald 12/50, 13/60 (all
variants) ; Triumph Vitesse MkI & II plus any kit car based upon
the Herald/Spitfire running gear.
Each kit comprises of 1 No. stainless steel centre pedal pivot bar,
1 No. self lubricating bronze bush, 2 No. circlips, 2 No. washers,
1 No. clevis pin & 1 No. split pin (for master cylinder connection)
and is sufficient to complete one pedal bush arrangement (obviously,
if you wish to replace both the brake & clutch pedal bushes,
please purchase 2 kits)
These kits are designed to remove any excess play in either
the brake and/or clutch pedals that may have occurred during
the use of your classic Triumph. Remember, it is more than likely
that the pedal bushes currently fitted on your car are the original
ones fitted by Triumph when your car was new and this is going to
be a minimum of 27 years ago ! They have more than likely had
little or no servicing or maintenance over the years and have been
subject to water ingress with the result that the original steel
versions will have corroded. The stainless steel bar provided in
our kits remove this problem and can provide you with that "new
car" feel to the brake/clutch pedals.
These parts have been obsolete for many years and are not available
as a kit through any of the usual Triumph parts suppliers so as part
of our expanding product range we have commissioned these parts to
compliment our existing range of quality Triumph spares.
